Analysis:
Johnson has the ability to be this season’s breakout upperclassman. If he can prove to be a smart, veteran force on a good Purdue team his value will rise. As it is he is an athlete in a power forwards body with solid defensive ability; very limited offensive skills. In transition he is a force filling a wing, in the half-court he can be useless with no post moves and an average jump shot. Johnson has shown flashes of potential and with a strong season he can make a push for a Top 20 selection.
