Analysis:
Classic Duke basketball player, classic Coach K senior disciple. Smith does nothing really to blow you away; he just does a little bit of everything on the basketball court and helps his team win. This season he was finally able to rise from behind the shadows of Jon Scheyer, Greg Paulus and Gerald Henderson to become the face of the team only to have the best player he has ever played with come in as a freshman (Kyrie Irving). Smith was able to use his intelligence and versatility to breakout as a star in his last year. He is a five tool prospect that can score, distribute, defend, lead and adapt. Basically Smith is a chameleon that will do what is needed of him to help the team win basketball games. Not a ton of potential, he is who he is, but what he brings to the table is NBA ready.
