Analysis:
Thompkins is about as skilled and polished a big man there is in college basketball, entering his junior year he can only improve. Very skilled as an offensive player with post skills, face-up game and shooting that extends to 3-point range. Not a great athlete, he will be criticized for that during the combines after the season, but his overall skill makes up for his lack of explosiveness. On paper, Thompkins is a lottery pick. In reality he will fall into the early 20’s next summer.
