The Beast of the Big East has been Jones this season rebounding and scoring at a very high level. He plays with a very high motor giving it his all every game. He is not the biggest or most skilled big man in the draft class, but he makes up for it with his motor. On offense he is very much improved shooting at a high rate from the field (53%) and adding in a good amount of threes (1.1 a game) and free-throws (3.1 a game).
Watching Jones this year he seems to have an extra bit of motivation every night, as to prove his critics wrong. He has been a double-double machine with 18 in 27 games, scoring in double figures every game. Jones is a much more efficient player this season and it has shown.
Seniors tend to fly under the radar a lot in college basketball, especially the quality ones. All season Jones has dominated a very competitive Big East in scoring and rebounding. He is undersized for full-time minutes at power forward. At this point he is moving up draft boards and would be a second round steal.
