Solomon Hill proved two things in the first game of the season, first is that he is a very talented all-around player. On offense he was more aggressive than last year to start the game which led to a few turnovers and a few assists. On offense it seems more mental than anything with Hill as you can see he has the handle, shooting ability and moves to get to his spots on the court, he just does not do it enough.

On defense Hill will likely make his biggest impact. With his confidence not at 100% he will need to step up as a versatile defender and rebounder to catch the eye of scouts this season. Hill has the size and athleticism to defend most perimeter positions and can hold his own against bigger scorers. If Hill commits to defense he can emerge as a quality prospect due to his lack of effectiveness on offense through two seasons.
