Jerome Jordan

Selected No. 44 by the Milwaukee Bucks (traded to New York)

College: Tulsa
Birthday: 09/29/1986
NBA Position: Center
Class: Senior
Ht: 7’0
Wt: 235
Hometown: Kingston, Jamaica
High School: Florida Air Academy
NBA Comparison: Serge Ibaka

Strengths: Jordan at first sight would make you believe that he can dominate the game at both ends of the floor. He is a legit 7-footer with a tremendous wing span, and has the body strength to take the pounding of an NBA game. He shows the ability to play with his back to the basket, and is surprising adept with his off-hand (right-handed player). Is a real presence in the paint on defense and challenges shots. For a center, Jordan is above average at the free throw line as well.

Weaknesses: At 7-feet tall he has never averaged double-digits in rebounds in his four years at Tulsa. Like most players his height, he can’t seem to stay out of foul trouble which makes it harder for him to be aggressive on the defensive end of the floor. Jordan has a tough time passing out of double teams, which is the main reason his turnovers are so high as a senior (2.2 TO per game). At time Jordan tends to lose his focus on the court and not be as engaged as he should be.
