Selected No. 26 by the Oklahoma City Thunder (traded to New Orleans)
NBA Position: Small Forward
Hometown: Fresno, CA
High School: San Joaquin Memorial
NBA Comparison: Travis Outlaw
Strengths: Plays in control and lets the game come to him. Improved tremendously in his four years at Washington. A tireless worker, first to arrive to the gym and last to leave. Quick off his feet and excellent rebounder for his size. Has improved his perimeter game to the point where he ranks as one of the top 3-point shooters in the Pac-10, but excels at the mid-range game. Comfortable with his back to the basket, he likes to back down defenders and create space with an NBA-caliber fadeaway. High riser who can bring the crowd to its feet. Leads by example. Uncle played in the NBA and father was a college great.
Weaknesses: May have tapped out his potential, having improved his game so much already. Needs to improve ball-handling skills in order to become a bigger threat offensively. More of a complimentary player than a go-to-guy. Doesn’t move very well laterally. Awkward mechanics on his jump shot. More strong than quick, and can be beaten off the dribble on defense.
