Terrico White
Selected No. 36 by the Detroit Pistons

Birthday:
NBA Position: Shooting Guard
Class: Sophomore
Ht: 6-5
Wt: 213
Hometown: Memphis, TN
High School: Craigmont
NBA Comparison: Randy Foye
Strengths: White’s athletic ability helps him play the point and shooting guard positions effectively, but what is his true position? As a freshman he wowed everyone switching to the point guard and playing it naturally. As a sophomore he switched back to shooting guard and saw his numbers all go up (his assists went down) across the board. He is an effective ball-handler that can create shots for others with above average passing skills. His skill set is very fundamentally sound and translates as a combo guard for the NBA. His athleticism is off the charts too, which gives White the appeal of a star at the next level.
Weaknesses: For being an elite athlete, White doesn’t show it very often. He plays too smart at times which limits his ability to flash his ability to get to the rim. When he does, he creates the contact and gets to the free throw line. He is improving as a free throw shooter, but remains very sporadic at times. His shooting overall is what is keeping him from the lottery; he does not have a pure perimeter game to show scouts. Also, for being looked at as a potential point guard at the next level, he had just one game as a sophomore with more than 3 assists.
